This is a white prayer flag depicting a three-storied palace, in the centre of which is the windhorse, with the wishfulfilling jewel on his back, flanked by animal-headed deities on various mounts. Above is an image of Green Tārā, surrounded by an auspicious prayer. In the upper storey are the three great bodhisattvas, Maсjuśrī, Avalokiteśvara and Vajrapāṇi (T. Rigs gsum mgon po) symbolising the wisdom, compassion and power of Buddhahood. The jewelled finial flanked by the sun and moon contains the Tibetan words ‘Lama, Yidam, Buddha’. The lower storey illustrates a fenced area containing the five animals of Mongolia, with weapons on either side and auspicious offerings below. Outside the palace walls are the eight auspicious emblems and the Seven Precious Possessions of the Cakravartin, trees, flowers and clouds. In the four corners are the protective animals of the four directions, garuḍa, dragon, tiger and lion. In the lower register of the flag are further prayers and mantras, with bowls of offerings below.
