Khangai Burkhan sits in the lalita posture with his right leg slightly extended on a blossoming lotus. His right hand holds a vajra while his left holds a bowl of jewels in his lap. Above him is the protector Brahmā riding a white horse with a miniature figure of Vajrapāṇi above him to the right. Surrounding Khangai Burkhan are the Seven Precious Possessions of the Cakravartin: the precious minister on his right and the queen on his left, and below the precious wheel, jewel, military general, horse and elephant. Local people worship Khangai Burkhan as the spirit of the sacred mountain ‘Khangai ovoo’ which is situated in Kharkorin soum, Ovorkhangai aimag.
