The wrathful red yidam Hayagrīva stands in ālīḍha āsana trampling on male and female corpses. He has three faces, six arms and four legs and embraces his blue consort. His right hand is in the threatening gesture and his left holds a skull cup; his remaining hands hold a noose, club, sword and stick. He wears garuḍa wings on his back, a tiger skin around his waist and a skull crown on his head, and a green horse’s head appears in his upward-streaming hair. Directly above is Amitābha Buddha, flanked by two manifestations of Padmasambhava. Surrounding Hayagrīva are his eight wrathful attendants and two skull offerings of torma, whilst below is the protector, Begtse, accompanied by a wrathful deity riding an animal. At the base is a sea of blood and craggy rocks.
